  • The Ridgeway Parade, Southend, Essex

    The Ridgeway parade is located between Chalkwell and Leigh on Sea. A selection of units with some residential above. The large building to the right of the parade used to be a restaurant but now appears to be residential.

  • Station Road Parade, Southend, Essex

    Spread out along Station Road are a number of shops – specifically situated on the corners of the roads that branch off to the south of the railway line.. Many of the retail units have become housing over the years. There is a Chinese Takeaway situated along the parade too.

  • Prince Avenue Parade, Southend, Essex

    This is part of a larger collection of parades situated at The Bell junction on the main A127 Arterial Road into Southend. A selection of units with residential above, a tower block and two more modern dedicated retail units. There is also a second-hand car dealership located in the middle of the parade.

  • Earls Hall Parade, Southend, Essex

    A fairly large parade located on the main A127 Arterial Road into Southend. The commercial units all have residential above. Unusually this parade appears to have two Chinese Takeaways as well as a Domino’s, Barbers and a PC repair shop.

  • Apex Court Parade, Hockley, Essex

    A very small parade with just one shop and a hairdressers. The commercial units all have residential above. Located near two schools, the convenience store is probably very popular with the school children on their way to and from school.

  • Hawkwell Parade, Hawkwell, Essex

    You’ll find Hawkwell Parade on the main road (called Main Road) between Hockley and Rochford. Many people forget Hawkwell even exists and refer to it as Hockley.     This parade is located on Manners Way – it serves the community that lives between Southend Airport, the A127 arterial road and the city of Southend on sea. The commercial units all have residential above. The shape of the building is interesting as it spans the corner of the road junction.

  • Southend Road Parade, Rochford, Essex

    This parade is located on Southend Road – it overlooks Southend Airport runway and airfield. The commercial units all have residential above. At the time of the most recent visit, there were two empty units.

  • Dalys Road Parade, Ashingdon, Essex

    This parade is located on Ashingdon Road – the main artery between Ashingdon and Rochford. It is closer to Rochford centre and the train station. Jacko’s Fish & Chip shop features on this parade and the wall outside the shop has been decorated with some urban graffiti by a local artist.

  • Sapwood Parade, Ashingdon, Essex

    This parade is located on Ashingdon Road – the main artery between Ashingdon and Rochford. The main retail unit was Sapwood DIY which has recently closed (2026) and is now vacant following an unsuccessful attempt to market as a going concern.
